Creative, Joyful, Love, Homebody, Introvert.

Q2: What does your daily routine look like?

I try to maintain a healthy routine, like people have with a 9 to 5 job, working until 6-ish in the evening and then I tend to draw again in the late evening because even after it being my job for the entire day, it is also my way of relaxing, next to reading a good book. So during the day, I give myself some pressure sometimes to finish some work I wrote down that needs to be done. But in the evening, I just let the pressure fall off and allow myself to just do what I want. I used to just work until the late hours, but that left me without anything close to social life, and not even time to read the books I love to read, or even pet my cat. It is very important for me to take a step back and take time for what happens around me.

Working until 6-ish pm and then allow myself to do whatever I want.

Q3: What do you think is the best part of being an artist?

The best part is that I get to do what I’ve always wanted to do and express myself in a way that is best possible for me, through drawing. In this way, I’m also reaching a big crowd and I’m able to speak up for so many people who aren’t allowed to speak up for themselves. I tend to address difficult and sensitive subjects, that I leave open for discussion, but at least it’s being talked about and spreads awareness to things like abuse, rape, body image and just life in general.

I get to do what I’ve always wanted to do and express myself in a way that is best possible for me, through drawing.

Q4: What’s the biggest challenge you face when working on your artwork?

I think the biggest challenge for me is that I wouldn’t be good enough for the job and that I would lose my ability to speak through my artwork. It happens sometimes that I have this feeling that I can’t speak through my work anymore and then it stresses me out a lot, but it’s mostly because I pressure myself to make sure I work hard enough, that I block myself out of doing anything anymore. That is when I need to take a step back. Another challenge I face is to be and stay focused. Often times I’m in the zone, other times I can’t fine that zone and that is also when I’ve just had enough drawing for the day and need to sit back with a book or do something else.

Sometimes I have this feeling that I can’t speak through my work anymore and it stresses me out mostly because of the pressure I put on myself.

Q5: What superpower would you choose to have?

Maybe something like a super strong intuition, like that you can intuitively see what is good or wrong for you to choose in your path of life. That would make a lot of things in life a lot easier.

Super strong intuition.
